Bundle Terms
Last updated August 27, 2026
1. What a bundle is
A bundle groups two or more books under a single discounted price. The discount is applied off each included book's own list price at the time of purchase — it never changes any book's regular, individual price. An author creates a bundle only from their own published books; ZBookShelf may also create a bundle from any book across the catalog whose author has opted into discounts.
2. If a book inside a bundle is removed
If a book included in a bundle is deleted, the entire bundle is automatically deactivated — it can no longer be found or purchased. This isn't optional and can't be turned off: a bundle can't keep selling a book that no longer exists. The bundle's creator can edit it afterward — removing the missing book and adding a replacement — and reactivate it once it meets the minimum book count again.
3. Stopping a bundle, and Past bundles
A bundle's creator can deactivate it manually at any time, and an admin may also deactivate a bundle at ZBookShelf's discretion. Once deactivated for any reason, an author-created bundle appears in that author's own “Past bundles” view, showing why it stopped, and is permanently deleted 180 days after the date it stopped — this can't be extended or recovered afterward. A bundle that has ever sold can never be deleted outright before that, even by its own creator, so purchase history stays intact.
4. Reserved names
Certain real marketing-event names (for example, seasonal sale events ZBookShelf itself runs) are reserved for bundles ZBookShelf creates and can't be used by an author-created bundle, even as part of a longer title. This is so a genuine sitewide promotion always reads as official, and is never confusable with an unrelated author's own bundle. The reserved list may change at any time at ZBookShelf's discretion.
5. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the “Last updated” date above.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Egypt, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
